Marriott’s Moxy Hotels Debuts in Chongqing, Embracing Playful Hospitality
Marriott International has brought its lively and social Moxy Hotels brand to Chongqing, marking the brand’s debut in Southwest China. Moxy Chongqing combines modern design with the city’s rich architectural heritage, offering 360 stylish guest rooms equipped with smart, space-saving features such as foldable desks and large flat-screen TVs. Its location near the People’s Liberation Monument, a prominent landmark, makes it ideal for exploring the city’s vibrant nightlife and cultural attractions.
At the heart of the hotel is Moxy Bar, located on the 29th floor, which doubles as a check-in point and social hub. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a complimentary “Got Moxy” cocktail, setting the tone for a unique and playful stay. The bar transforms at night into a rotating social space, offering spectacular views of downtown Chongqing. Guests can also enjoy 24/7 self-service snacks, drinks, and an on-demand ironing room to prepare for a night out.
Chongqing, often referred to as China’s “Mountain City,” is known for its dynamic urban life, and Moxy Chongqing perfectly captures this spirit by offering fun events and a lively atmosphere, attracting travelers and locals alike. Marriott sees the launch as part of its continued expansion in the Chinese market, building on successful openings in cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen.
