Hilton Aims for 300 Hotels in Caribbean and Latin America with Robust Expansion
Hilton is on track to reach 300 hotels in the Caribbean and Latin America within the next three years, driven by a strong pipeline with more than half currently under construction. Over the past five years, Hilton properties in the region have created over 8,500 local jobs. In 2023 alone, Hilton opened nearly 20 new hotels, adding 4,000 rooms, marking a record year of growth.
Hilton President and CEO Chris Nassetta highlighted the company’s significant progress and commitment during visits to Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Nassetta emphasized the company’s strategic expansion, which has seen Hilton triple its presence in the region to 225 hotels over the past decade. The robust pipeline includes plans to introduce new brands and enter new markets, with more than 100 hotels in development and anticipated openings in Bermuda and Paraguay by 2024.
Hilton’s growth in the region is supported by a strong focus on the local market, innovative brand introductions, and partnerships with trusted developers. This expansion is expected to create thousands of new jobs, boosting the local economy and reinforcing Hilton’s position as a leading hospitality provider.
