The Indian Hotels Company Signs Sixth Taj Hotel in Goa
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Anjuna, North Goa, further strengthening its presence in the region. This beachfront resort, a greenfield project, marks IHCL’s sixth Taj property in Goa.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO of IHCL, stated, “With over five decades of pioneering leadership in Goa, we are excited to announce our sixth Taj hotel. This expansion reflects our commitment to enhancing Goa’s hospitality sector, building on our legacy of providing world-class experiences. We are pleased to partner with Bharat Realty Venture Pvt Ltd for this project.”
The 170-key resort spans 17 acres and offers unobstructed views of the Arabian Sea. It will feature a variety of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lounge. The J Wellness Circle will provide extensive spa and rejuvenation treatments. Additionally, the resort will have North Goa’s largest banquet hall with outdoor lawns, ideal for social events and weddings.
Dhaval Barot, MD and CEO of Bharat Realty Venture Pvt Ltd., expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the Taj brand’s recent recognition as the World’s Strongest Hotel Brand. He noted that the new hotel will offer a luxurious destination for travelers in Anjuna, North Goa.
Anjuna is known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant nightlife, and diverse leisure activities, attracting visitors worldwide. With this addition, IHCL will have 16 hotels across its Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands in Goa, including five currently under development.
