Aeroplan and Marriott Bonvoy Expand Partnership with Status-Match Perks and Point Flexibility
Marriott Bonvoy and Aeroplan have taken their long-standing collaboration to the next level, offering elite members enhanced rewards and the ability to match their loyalty statuses across programs. This new initiative empowers frequent travelers with greater benefits and flexibility in how they use their points.
In an exciting new development, Aeroplan’s 50K, 75K, and Super Elite members will receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, unlocking exclusive hotel perks such as priority late checkout, enhanced room upgrades, and a 25% bonus on Bonvoy points for eligible stays. Meanwhile, Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members will be elevated to Aeroplan 25K status, which provides access to premium airport services including priority check-in and boarding, two complimentary checked bags, eUpgrade credits, and preferred seating on Air Canada flights.
To access these perks, members simply need to link their Marriott Bonvoy and Aeroplan accounts. In addition to the status match, Aeroplan Elite members can now convert their Aeroplan points to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio, offering increased flexibility. Marriott Bonvoy points can still be converted to Aeroplan miles at a 3:1 ratio, enhancing the cross-program value.
This expansion strengthens both loyalty programs, making it easier for members to optimize their travel experiences across airlines and hotels. The collaboration is expected to provide greater value, with Scott O’Leary of Air Canada and David Flueck of Marriott International expressing their excitement about delivering more seamless and rewarding travel for their members.
