The Cube Hotel, a distinguished luxury establishment in Birmingham, is now available for purchase at £12 million following the company’s recent administration. The joint administrators—Richard Easterby, Andrew Andronikou, and Nick Simmonds of Quantuma Advisory Ltd—were appointed on July 12 to manage the affairs of MSHA Global Investments Ltd, the entity operating the Cube Hotel.
Property Overview:
The Cube Hotel continues to operate and is situated on the 23rd and 24th floors of the Cube, a striking 25-storey mixed-use development. The hotel offers a range of high-end amenities, including 52 well-appointed bedrooms, an 180-cover Marco Pierre White restaurant, and a rooftop bar with sweeping views of Birmingham. Additionally, the property features private dining areas and versatile function rooms suitable for various events.
Market Appeal:
Watling Real Estate and Graham + Sibbald have been designated to market the long leasehold interest in the hotel. Chris Davies, director at Watling Real Estate in Birmingham, emphasized the rarity of this opportunity, noting that it includes a prime city center location and a well-established restaurant within a landmark building.
Hugh Anderson, a partner at Graham + Sibbald’s hotel team, highlighted the asset’s potential for growth. He pointed out that the hotel offers excellent opportunities for branding and could significantly enhance its trading performance, thanks to its panoramic views and the appealing outdoor terraces on the 25th floor.
The Cube Development:
The Cube is a mixed-use complex that encompasses 135 residential apartments, 111,500 square feet of office space, and additional leisure facilities such as a bowling center. The Cube Hotel’s positioning within this diverse development enhances its attractiveness as a prime investment opportunity.
